Antonia Valdez MA learned how to draw and paint by illustrating her children’s book series Land of Lost Socks. The original story was formed in cultural diversity class as a journal entry. Antonia began blogging as a form of creative expression. Mensa published her articles.

Antonia specialized in expressive art therapy at John F. Kennedy University, experimental psychology at UCSD, clinical psychology at Harvard University, and music at Tarrant County College. As a clinician, Antonia facilitated creative writing, art, and wellness counseling groups. She provided social activities for patients with dementia and Alzheimer's disease, witnessing them come to life through musical interaction and authentic movement. She sings jazz, plays guitar, and writes music.
